The largest newly-built object of Yenakiieve Steel, Metinvest Group – blast furnace No.3 – was awarded with the 1st degree certificate of Ministry of Regional Development, Construction and Housing of Ukraine. As a result of the annual contest on the best houses and constructions, built and commissioned in Ukraine in 2011, our new furnace won the first prize in “Industrial enterprises and facilities” category.
Award ceremony of construction contest winners were held on the eve of the Builder’s Day in Oktyabrskiy Palace (Kyiv). In total 58 buildings and constructions of 21 regions of Ukraine were submitted for this contest in 9 categories.
In general 14 regions became the winners. Donetsk region submitted 4 facilities for this contest, and one of them was blast furnace No.3 of Yenakiieve Steel.
Awarding this high prize to the representative of PJSC Yenakiieve Steel, Mr Anatoliy Blizhyuk, Minister of Regional Development, Construction and Housing of Ukraine, noted that Yenakiieve Steel was the leader in introducing advanced design solutions into construction and in all the time achieving high quality of construction works, using the best practices while building such facilities as the sate-of-the-art blast furnace No.3.

It should be noted that blast furnace No.3 (BF No.3) was put into operation in December 2011. New BF of Yenakiieve Steel is a unique and only furnace in Ukraine equipped with the brand new process equipment and control systems.
