In November 2010 the first rebar production run, manufactured at Makiivka Steel and produced with compliance to the standards of the intensified quality control, was sold. And in December 2010 the innovative technology of rebar rolling in 4 lines was introduced. It is expected that rolling mill overall performance using new rolling technology will increase by more than 15%. This very technology has been applied at some Works in Italy, Turkey and Russia and due to Metinvest it can be used in Ukrainian industry as well.
