By 1914 6 Blast furnaces and 7 Open Hearth Blast Furnaces, 2 converters, 8 Rolling Mills were operated at the Works.

At the anniversary of enterprise startup the place of the Works, mines and neighboring settlements location was named as Yenakiieve after the railway engineer Fedor Yenakiiev.

The first Blast Furnace was blew-in and the first hot metal was tapped. This day is considered to be the birthday of Petrovskii (Yenakiieve) Iron and Steel Works. In December another Blast Furnace, as well as the Bessemer and Rail Rolling Shops, were put into operation.

After the Statute of the JSC “Russian-Belgian Iron and Steel Community” had been adopted by the Russian Ministry of Finance, a construction of Petrovskiy (Yenakiieve) Iron and Steel Works and mines was started. In a broad hollow near Korsun village two Blast Furnaces, two Bessemer Converters, rail rolling, Mechanical and Cast Iron Shops and 120 coke batteries were in the process of construction.
