At PJSC “Yenakiieve Steel” energy saving activities considered as the strategic ones. Goal-oriented implementation of the energy saving projects assumes rise in profitability and the enterprise competitiveness; and the all-out control of the raw materials and energy resources consumption at all production stages is the guarantee for “Yenakiieve Steel” successful activity.
Since 2010 within the framework of the enterprise development strategy “Application of the Var Compensators (VC) at the Ladle-Furnaces (LF) of the BOF Shop” project implementation is in progress. This project will enable to enhance the enterprise power complex efficiency. Estimated annual savings as a consequence of Var Compensators implementation will amount to over UAH 36 M. with a payback period of 1.1 year. Project investments will constitute over UAH 40M. Unit commissioning is scheduled for May 2011.
