Yenakiieve Steel, Metinvest Group, donated new pieces of school furniture for educational establishment No.2 of Yenakiievo. One of the school’s classrooms were kitted out within the framework of “Town-Works” agreement. For this purpose more than UAH 10K were allocated.
Within the holistic social strategy of Metinvest company one of the top-priority trends is to support educational establishments, create conditions necessary for breeding and teaching pupils.
18 school furniture’s pieces (desks and chairs) and big teacher’s tables were put in the chemistry classroom. These pieces were tailor made in Donetsk considering all latest sanitary and ergonomic standards. Larisa Belonenko, Headmaster of EE No.2, argues that 70% of school furniture needs replacement. «Metinvest’s present to the new school year is highly needed, -told Larisa. - Because since the school opening, happened in 1971, school equipment was hardly ever renewed. Furniture in the chemistry classroom was repaired and painted annually; chairs and tables were of different size. And now this classroom has changed completely: there are nice and comfortable school desks and chairs, big tables for teachers. Our classroom saw a major overhaul with wallpapers and floor replacement».
«In the agreement on cooperation with the town there is a provision on kiting out the educational establishments, - pointed out Aleksandr Podkorytov, PJSC Yenakiieve Steel General Director – When school management requested our assistance, we immediately responded, as school No.2 is the biggest educational establishment in Yenakiieve and a lot of our employee’s children study here».
It should be noted that Yenakiieve Steel cooperation with the school No.2 is not the first one. In 2010 steelmakers donated multimedia equipment set to the biology classroom.
