The onsite training for teachers of Yenakiieve Metallurgical Technical College (YMTC) at Yenakiieve Steel of Metinvest group has been completed. That was the first time when such a form of collaboration with an educational institution has been applied.
During a month the teachers of such special subjects as Ironmaking, Steelmaking, Rolling, Electrical equipment for iron works, PCS, Economy, Accounting were improving their skills directly at Yenakiieve Steel facilities. They were studying production and managerial processes of the enterprise. Today teaching staff of the college devolve all the gained knowledge to their students, who are going to become metallurgists.
“The teachers of the YMTC has developed training programs for the onsite training by themselves, taking lager attention to the issues, which were the most interesting to them, - sais Oleg Solovyov, HR-Director. - At the Education and Training Department they considered the training program and made some correction according to the major aim of the provided course: to make the professional training of the current students more suitable for the employer demand.”
This new way of collaboration has proved itself as high-demanded one and it is only going to be improved in the course of time.
